We are a family business that has been operating in the Goondiwindi district over 100 years.

We believed that you didn't have to sacrifice wool quality for easy doing, highly fertile sheep, so we established our own stud with the purchase of the entire first draft of the Well Gully dispersal sale.

We were right. You can have exquisite, soft, white, fine micron wool AND fertile sheep that require barely any work. We don't mules, never jet, don't worry about flies and rarely drench. The only work is shearing (of course!) and that is a joy with the quality of wool coming through the shed.

Super soft, white wool
We are passionate about wool! It is such an amazing and versatile fibre and there is so much beauty in a bright white, soft and deeply crimping wool.
Fast growing surplus lambs
High fertility & good early growth have wonderful compounding effects. More lambs allows more selection pressure and greater genetic gains. Meanwhile, the fast early growth means a quick turnaround of the culls as stores or fat lambs!
No mulesing
Mulesing has been a hot debate for decades, but it doesn't need to be an issue. With the genetics available today, it is possible to stop mulesing within 2 generations with the right combination of traits.
Easy to manage sheep
White, free growing wool is resistant to fly strike. It is also very possible to breed for worm resistant sheep.
Drought hardy sheep
We want the sheep to work for us, rather than having to work to keep sheep alive! They need to lay on fat in the good times to carry them through the bad times.
Comprehensive Data Collection
In addition to the visual traits, it is important to look "under the hood" by collecting data and ASBV's for all our sheep.
